3 Important things to know
At Dance Louisville we understand that your first lesson can be intimidating. In our 10 years in business we have taught literally thousands of people to dance most of them with same concerns as you. We wanted to reach out and help give your our best tips to keep in mind as you get started.
1. Everyone was new once.
Yes walking into a dance studio can be a nerve wracking experience. Everything is new and you don’t quite know what to expect. No worries! Everyone was new once. After the initial uncomfotableness I think you’ll find a dance studio a very warm and welcoming place. At Dance Louisville we take price in creating an encouraging environment. Don’t take it from us, take it from our students….

2. Everyone and yes I mean everyone, can learn to dance!
Learning a completely new skill can be tricky for sure. Make a commitment to yourself to try dancing for a full month. Your skills will rapidly improve and you’ll be having a blast before you know it!
There are even some great studies showing that you can become very proficient in a new skill in as little as 20 hours. We designed our New Student Special with that leaning curve in mind! Give us a call (502) 377-4859 and our studio manager JoAnn can set you up with a FREE introductory lesson. From there your teacher will explain how to take best use the New Student Special.

3. You might surprise yourself!
Are you looking to meet some new people? There are some amazing people who dance. Want to get some exercise? Dancing is a great way to stay healthy. Interested on being a star and competing or performing. We have plenty of opportunities for that as well! You might be surprised at the positive benefits dancing has on people just like you.
